Enviously located in Byron Bay’s “golden grid” with an abundance of cafes and restaurants just 100m away, and the beach so close you can smelt the salt in the air. Worlds away, but oh so close.

Designed as part of The Vela Properties, Sikata House was imagined for hosting large groups – for facilitating reunions of friends and family and creating lasting memories.

No amount of luxury is spared in Sikata House. A spa-like main bathroom features a deep stone tub beneath a timber window that frames a canvas of green. Surrounded in terrene tiled floors and walls – the earth-inspired design lures you into complete relaxation.

The home boasts 3 expansive bedrooms – including a master with its own ensuite and private balcony. Meanwhile, a playful bunk room to cater to the chaotic comings and goings of kids.

A lushly landscaped outdoor area is fit for hours of alfresco entertaining with a heated pool and covered BBQ area designed to be enjoyed through the seasons.

The Sikata living room is a treasure trove full of character and soul.  An Escea DFS730 freestanding gas fireplace is the centrepiece of a cosy conversation corner, sitting on a cantilevered tiled plinth and flanked by an elected collection of art sourced from around the globe.

When the day turns in, a leather studded armchair chaperones the fire and beckons you to relax a while, whiskey in hand, recovering from the day’s activities.

The Escea DFS730 was chosen for its modern freestanding design and compact size, the perfect addition to the space for cool Byron nights.

The traditional form of the fireplace with its classic square shape and exposed flue adds to the layering of the space, while the raw and worn tactility of the material palette further illustrates the art of imperfection, the philosophy of impermanence and the beauty of fragility.

Sikata House, along with its sister properties Samudra House and Lavanda House are available to book via Airbnb.
