Born in the deep south of New Zealand over 20 years ago, Escea has become synonymous with innovation in the fireplace industry.

Favoured by architects, designers, and homeowners alike for their unrivalled beauty and flexible installation possibilities, Escea gas fireplaces have been appearing in more and more Australasian homes, year after year.

Now, Escea has taken their restless spirit and kiwi ingenuity and applied it to their wood fireplace - innovating an industry as old as time itself.

Unlike most wood fires, Escea’s Freestanding TFS650 Indoor Wood Fireplace features Direct Vent Technology – an innovation based on their experience and an integral part of the success of their gas fireplace range.

So, what’s so great about Direct Vent Technology?

Direct Vent Technology is all about the airflow that fuels the fire – where it comes from, and ultimately where it ends up.

Most wood fireplaces draw air from inside the home to fuel the fire, creating pesky cold draughts and often requiring additional venting.

With Direct Vent Technology, the firebox functions independently of the room, with all the air needed to fuel the fire coming from outside the home; and the exhaust air being returned outside. So, the room air and the outside air never mix.

By controlling the flow of air in and out of the fireplace you get a fireplace that eliminates cold draughts, the need for external vents and will heat your home more efficiently – for better overall home performance.
