Channel Seven's My Reno Rules is the new renovation show making waves. Hosted by Dr. Chris Brown and judged by Neale Whitaker, Simon Cohen and Julia Green, the series follows four teams across two side-by-side homes in Bulleen, Melbourne — with both finished houses given away to lucky viewers and a $1 million prize for the winning team.
Stoke Melbourne and Stoke Sydney joined forces to supply and install a MODE KB1400 gas fireplace in both competition houses — one in Emma and Michelle's lounge in House 1, one in Franky and Isaac's lounge in House 2.
With two lounge spaces and tight timelines, My Reno Rules was the kind of project Stoke knows well — helping the teams navigate different fireplace styles and installation requirements to find the right fit for each space. No strangers to reality TV, Corey and the Stoke Melbourne team have previously had installs featured on The Block.
"Renovation TV is a different beast. The deadlines are brutal and there's no room for error. But that's where Stoke thrives. We've built a reputation on delivering in exactly this kind of environment.” Corey Greenway — Owner, Stoke Melbourne

All hands on deck — Corey from Stoke Melbourne onsite during the My Reno Rules fireplace installs.
House 1 — Emma & Michelle
Emma runs her own interior design studio, and her and Michelle’s lounge reflects a softer, more restrained approach to the space. Warm neutrals, natural textures and clean lines give the room a calm, relaxed feel, with the MODE KB1400 gas fireplace integrated seamlessly within the wall.
Its frameless finish and generous viewing area allow the flame itself to become the focus, adding warmth and movement without overpowering the pared-back interior. The long linear design also helps reinforce the clean horizontal lines running throughout the room, giving the space a polished, contemporary feel.
"The MODE KB1400 is a world-class fireplace and it shows. Frameless glass, clean lines, and it installs without drama. On a tight timeline that matters as much as how it looks,” says Corey.

House 2 — Franky & Isaac
Melbourne best mates Franky and Isaac came into the competition with no renovation experience, but their lounge is warm, layered and full of personality. Here, the fireplace takes on more of a feature role within the space, helping anchor the room against the darker finishes and richer textures.
The wide flame view and Australian Oak fuelbed bring warmth and atmosphere to the lounge, creating a natural focal point within the open-plan space. While the look and feel of the room is different to House 1, the flexibility of the MODE KB1400 allowed it to work just as naturally within their interior palette.
“Two different design directions and the MODE KB1400 worked beautifully in both. That's what we love about this fireplace. It doesn't dictate the room, it just belongs in it,” says Corey.
