A new generation of electric fireplaces has arrived at Stoke, with the release of the 2026 Escea LE Series.

Electric fireplaces have long been valued for their simplicity — offering flexible installation, clean operation, and the ability to bring flame into spaces where other fuel types may not be practical. The latest evolution of the LE Series builds on those advantages while pushing electric flame realism further than before.

A More Convincing Electric Flame

At the centre of the new series is Flame-Map — Escea's proprietary holographic flame technology designed and developed in-house in New Zealand.

The flame realism achieved through Escea’s Flame-Map technology in the new 2026 LE Series electric fireplaces.

Rather than projecting a generic flame effect onto decorative logs, Flame-Map captures the behaviour of real fire interacting with a specific log arrangement. That same configuration is then recreated inside the fireplace, with the captured flame movement mapped back onto the logs with precise alignment.

The result is a flame that feels more natural and cohesive, where the movement of the fire and the structure of the fuelbed appear to work together as a single system.

A Flexible Range for Modern Homes

Alongside this advancement in flame realism, the updated LE Series also expands the range of sizes available. Models now span from 800mm through to 1750mm, allowing the fireplaces to scale comfortably from compact living spaces through to larger architectural interiors.

New flame modes provide greater control over mood and intensity, while SmartHeat App integration allows both flame and heat settings to be adjusted directly from a phone. The flame effect can also operate independently of heat, allowing the fireplace to provide ambience throughout the year.

With its expanded size range, flexible installation and refined flame experience, the updated LE Series represents a compelling new option for homeowners exploring electric fireplaces — designed and made in New Zealand by Escea.
